Facebook users are rallying behind 4-year-old Noah, whose mom, Lindsey Fisher, asked people to post photos of themselves in glasses to ease his discomfort about wearing them.

Noah cried when he found out he would have to wear glasses, and to show him he isn’t the only one who wears them, his mom started the Facebook group "Glasses for Noah."

"Show Noah how awesome glasses really are by posting some pictures for him to see you in your glasses!" she wrote, noting, "He keeps telling us that 'everyone will laugh at him.'"

The page now has over 5,000 supporters, with thousands of people posting pictures of themselves of their kids wearing glasses to show Noah how “awesome” they really are.

Fisher has since responded to the outpouring of support, writing, “Thank you SO much for all of the photos - Noah is LOVING them!! Facebook won't let me share any more of your pictures at the moment - but please keep them coming! Y'all are amazing and we would give each of you a hug if we could!!!

Noah’s grandfather, Bannister Eads, told ABC News that all of the photos are really helping Noah and he no longer cries about wearing them.

"He saw all these people wearing glasses and I think he thought, 'Well it's not so bad after all.' It helped him," said Eads. "He puts them on after his nap at school. He's used to it now. He's like me. He can see now."
