A time-lapse video of homeless veteran Jim Wolf from Grand Rapids, Michigan getting a makeover has gone viral, getting over 7 million hits so far.
With the help of stylist Anna Walt - who cuts, colors and styles his hair - Wolf is seen undergoing an astonishing transformation. The video says Wolf has “struggled with poverty, homelessness and alcoholism” for “decades.”
Daily News notes Wolf not only gets his hair done and his beard trimmed, he also gets a suit and tie to wear. After he puts on the suit and looks at himself for the first time in the mirror, he says "wow.”
Wolf is now “scheduled to have his own housing” and he’s attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
The video has 35,790 likes and 1,060 dislikes as of Sunday. It’s meant to encourage people to donate to Degage Ministries to benefit homeless veterans like Wolf.
The video, produced byRobBlissCreative, comes just ahead of Veterans Day and serves to raise awareness.
