Disney is finally bringing one of its most dastardly villains to the silver screen! The “Mistress of All Evil” from Sleeping Beauty. Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie in the title role as well as Elle Fanning in the role of Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty and also starring Juno Temple and Imelda Staunton. The trailer shows a prequel to Walt Disney’s animated 1959 film Sleeping Beauty. Maleficent shows how the evil sorceress following Princess Aurora as a child and revealing her scary presence when Aurora seems to be in her teens. The production value and special effects are incredible as fairies fly about and magical happenings are rampant. It opens in theaters May 14 of next year.
In a futuristic, divided society, a girl with a special mind must fight not to be exterminated by an authoritarian leader in Divergent. Starring Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, Tony Goldwyn, Ashley Judd, Mekhi Phifer and Jai Courtney, Divergent portrays a futuristic society divided into factions where the different better watch out. The trailer shows action sequences, which are packed with explosions and plenty of struggle as Woodley’s character fights to be unique and stay alive. The film opens March 21 of next year.
The Bible comes to life on the silver screen in Noah. Starring Russell Crowe in the title role with a supporting cast featuring Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly and Sir Anthony Hopkins, the trailer gives viewers a glimpse into cherished biblical story told in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament is told as Crowe’s Noah prepares everyone for the flood G-d told him will wipe of civilization. The production value and special effects are staggering and Crowe’s portrayal of Noah has a raw element to it. Noah hits theaters March 28 of next year.
