Los Angeles TV producer Elan Gale got into a note-passing battle aboard a delayed US Airways flight on Thanksgiving.

A passenger on the flight kept complaining about the delay, so Gale sent a note along with a glass of wine after the flight finally took off, E! News reports.

The note said, "Dear Lady in 7A, it has come to my attention that today is your "Thanksgiving!" It must be hard to not be with your family! Please accept this glass of wine. It is a gift from me to you. Hopefully if you drink it, you won't be able to use your mouth to talk! Love, Elan."

Unsurprisingly, the whiny passenger was not happy to receive the note. She wrote a return note where she said, "Dear 'Elan,' The wine wasn't funny. The vodka wasn't funny. You're an awful person with no compassion. I'm sorry for your family that they should have to deal with you. -Diane."

According to New York Daily News, Gale shot back with, "Dear Diane, Thank you for your lovely note. The person who lacks compassion is you. We all want to get home, particularly the nice men and women who fly your lazy ass around and serve you drinks."

The note-passing amazingly continued as the woman threatened to contact the cops when the plane landed, which Gale didn't seem fazed and wrote back another, even nastier note mentioning cannibalism and genitalia.

When the plane landed, the woman slapped the TV producer on the face, but he declined to press charges. Gale was happy to hear the woman missed her connecting flight.

Gale tweeted about the whole incident while it was going on and Buzzfeed put it all together here.
