TWC-Dimension announced on Friday that the CGI-live action film Paddington will be hitting U.S. theaters during the Christmas season on Dec. 12, 2014.

Variety reports that the Dreamworks Animation marketing chief Anne Globe will be consulting with TWC-Dimension on marketing the film. She has helped on marketing for Shrek and other CGI franchises.

The film is being produced by David Heyman, of Harry Potter and boats an all-star cast. Paddington Bear will be voiced by Colin Firth. The rest of the cast includes, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Julie Walters and Sally Hawkins.

According to Deadline, Paddington will focus on Paddington Bear who comes to London from Peru. At the train station he meets the Brown family who graciously take him in while a museum taxidermist is on his tail.

Distribution President Erik Lomis said in a statement, "The holiday season is the perfect time to bring the most humorous adventures of one of the world's most loveable bears to family audiences everywhere."

Paddington Bear was created by Michael Bond in 1958.
