Twelve-year-old Rose McCoy conducted her own personal protest against the SeaWorld float on Thursday during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

McCoy jumped onto the float and chanted "boycott SeaWorld," while waving a sign, the New York Daily News reports. Her protest on the float was brought to a halt 30 seconds in when cops pulled her off and returned McCoy to her mother.

The little protester told the news site, "I was a little nervous when I climbed the barricade and then saw the security guard coming at me." She added, "One of the cops said I ruined the parade, which actually made my day."

McCoy decided to conduct her own little protest after PETA's planned protest failed to come to fruition. "I was with a group but we lost a few in the crowd and we didn't have enough to really attract attention."

According to CNN, PETa had announced that the organization had planned to picket the SeaWorld float. PETA spokesperson Ashley Byrne, "This planned float is deceptive in the extreme because it shows orcas frolicking in a magnificent sea alongside their families when we all know now that SeaWorld deprives orcas of all these things."

The animal rights organization also set up a petition to have the float removed and got 80,000 signatures, but nothing came of it.
