The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson's eighth film, will debut at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival as the opening film.
The star-studded movie will be unveiled at the film festival on Feb. 6, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Berlin Film Festival director Dieter Kosslick said, "We are very delighted that Wes Anderson will open the 64th Berlinale with his new film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. With unmistakable Wes Anderson charm, this comedy promises to kick things off in a big way."
The film, which is a joint U.K./German production was shot on location in Gorlitz, Saxony and at Studio Babelsberg in Germany.
The Guardian notes the film was initially thought to potentially be a player in the upcoming Oscars, but the movie's release date of March 7, means it does not qualify for this year's event.
Ralph Fiennes stars in Grand Budapest as a hotel concierge who is teaching a new employee, played by Tony Revolori, as they go through various adventures together. As any other Anderson film, the movie is filled to the brim will well-known actors. Others who appear in the movie include Edward Norton, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton - nearly unrecognizable, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray and more.
The Berlin International Film Festival runs from Feb. 6-16.
