Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, also known as Zendaya, is a Disney star that is trying to make her own impression in the music industry. With the very successful and musically interesting second single “Replay,” it is likely that Zendaya will find her own path in the music industry, without the constant attachment of the Disney name.
As of this year, Zendaya stars on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up as Rocky Blue. Following her Disney success, Zendaya decided to push her music career forward.
“Replay” has a strong beat, stimulating lyrics and showcases how Zendaya does have a strong vocal range and is a talented musician. Zendaya combined electro-R&B influences with a slight hint of dubstep, but the main influence throughout the single is pop. The song was composed by Tiffany Fred and Paul Shelton.
Even though the single was released this past summer, it is finally getting radio airplay and has gained popularity when the video for “Replay” was released. The video features stunning Zendaya showing her dance styles and vocal talent.
