The Fifty Shades of Grey movie may have already started production, but the producers and director Sam Taylor-Johnson are still bringing in new actors for critical parts. Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden is the latest star to join the cast, adding some experience to the young cast.

Harden, who recently appeared in the John F. Kennedy assassination film Parkland, will play Gey’s adoptive mother, reports Variety.

Shooting for Fifty Shades just started in Vancouver this weekend, as author E.L. James posted a photo of a clapboard with the word “Action!” Since then, she has also posted an image of a large camera on a crane.

On Monday, singer Rita Ora joined the cast and is playing Mia Grey, Christian’s younger adopted sister. Max Martini and Eloise Mumford are also recent additions to the film’s supporting cast.

Jamie Dornan is playing Christian, while Dakota Johnson will play the young Anastasia Steele. Their sexual relationship is the focus of the novel, which was followed by the sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

Harden won her Oscar for her supporting role in 2000’s Pollock and appears in Woody Allen’s 2014 film, Magic in the Moonlight. She also recently appeared on The Newsroom and Law & Order: SVU.

Fifty Shades hits theaters on Valentine’s Day, 2015.
