Amy Adams and the cast of American Hustle have been promoting the film ahead of its Dec. 13th release and at the press conference before of the Los Angeles premiere she opened up about her steamy kiss with Jennifer Lawrence.
Adams plays Christian Bale’s character Irving Rosenfeld’s mistress and Lawrence, who is following up her Oscar winning performance in Silver Linings Playbook with director David O. Russell again, plays Bale’s wife.
She said of their kiss, "Well, I feel like Jennifer really made that contribution. I came up with the idea, but she executed it in a way that felt driven purely from character,” Entertainmentwise reports.
She added of Lawrence, "It didn’t just feel like a moment where two girls are going to kiss onscreen - it felt emotional. And the laugh she gives after? That was genius."
USA Today notes the all-star cast also includes Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Jeremy Renner. The film has been surrounded by Oscar buzz.
