Anna Paquin's only scene in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past has been left on the cutting room floor.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Bryan Singer admitted that while the movie will feature plenty of mutants, Rogue won't be one of them. He noted that despite getting cut from the film, the scene will likely make it to the DVD.

"Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous," Singer explained. "It was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in." She filmed the sequence early into filming and was only on the set for a single week.

The director reiterated that it was simply cut for time and that it was not because of something that Paquin did. "It's very disappointing, but she's very professional and she knows that stuff happens."

Singer quietly announced the sequel to Days of Future Past would be X-Men: Apocalypsein a tweet and wrote that the date would be in 2016, with later clarification from others that the movie would hit theaters May 27, 2016.
