Country stars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan have been hired to co-host the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, CBS said Monday. The ceremony is set for April 6, live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The ceremony is produced by Dick Clark Productions. It will be the fourth time Shelton is hosting, while it is Bryan’s second time.
In addition to the awards, there will be the fourth annual ACM Fan Jam at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Florida Georgia Line, which won New Artist and New Duo of the Year during the last ACM Awards, will host the events there and perform. This event gives fans more chances to interact with the awards and will feature extra performances shown during the ceremony.
On the day after the awards, the Academy of Country Music is also taping an all-star special at the MGM Grand that will benefit the ACM Lifting Lives cause. That show will air at a later date and talent will be announced soon
Shelton is currently on NBC’s The Voice and just released Based on a True Story....
Bryan’s latest is Crash My Party.
