After eight years with Paramount Pictures, Brad Pitt's Plan B has signed a new three year deal with New Regency and RatPac Entertainment.

New Regency in conjunction with RatPac will finance future films from Plan B. RatPac will also have the opportunity to co-finance many projects from Pitt's production company that are currently in development at New Regency.

Variety added this announcement is coming at a very interesting time, Paramount has already signed on for the sequel to the widely popular World War Z.

Plan B and Paramount have had a few problems in the past when it came to the production of World War Z, the film had to do many reshoots and created an entirely different ending for the zombie movie. When World War Z was released, the box office numbers helped to ease that relationship.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that a few months following World War Z success, a report also surfaced in October that Paramount felt they were not given a chance to consider Plan B’s 12 Years a Slave. 12 Years a Slave was released by New Regency and Fox Searchlight.

This new deal for Plan B could also lead to a working relationship with Fox 2000, who could also start developing projects.
