Actors Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers, Django Unchained) and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) are celebrating their birthdays today.

Samuel L. Jackson, 65

Actor and producer, Samuel L. Jackson, turns 65 today. Early in his career, Jackson had small roles in films like Goodfellas, Patriot Games, and Jurassic Park. Jackson gained critical acclaim as well as several award nominations for his role as Jules Winnfield in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction in 1994.
Since then, Jackson has appeared in over 100 movies, including Jackie Brown, The Incredibles, Snakes on a Plane, and Django Unchained, making him one of the highest-grossing actors at the box office.
Jackson also signed up for a nine-film commitment as Nick Fury for the Marvel Cinematic Universe Franchise. He has already starred in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Marvel's The Avengers, and will appear in the 2014 film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the 2015 film, Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Apart from his acting career, Jackson and his wife, LaTanya Richardson, started an organization in 2009 to help support education. In June this year, Jackson launched a campaign to raise money to fight Alzheimer's disease.

Steven Yeun, 30

Steven Yeun turns 30 today. Born in South Korea and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Yeun took part in improv groups before deciding to pursue acting instead of going to law school or medical school. Yeun joined The Second City, an improv group in Chicago, before moving to Los Angeles in 2009.
Yeun appeared in episodes of Law and Order: LA, The Big Bang Theory, and The Legend of Korra, but is most known for his role as Glenn Rhee on AMC's The Walking Dead, winning a Satellite Award for Best Cast in a Television Series in 2012.
