Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, released because the Internet on Tuesday and admitted the name came about from a joke he made with Beck.

Childish Gambino spoke with TIME about the name and he said that he responded to a question about rappers from Beck, saying, "I don't like starting answers with this, but because the Internet..." and Beck quipped, "You should name your album that."

The rapper added, "It started as a joke and the more we talked about it the more it was like, it actually made sense." The Community actor said it would be "easier" to estimate how often he isn't online, "so I guess about four hours." He doesn't think he does anything particularly interesting, just what everyone else does, be it check email or talk with friends through messages like tweets and Vines.

Gambino does note that it is rare that people sit down and talk to each other face to face, instead most communication is done through the Internet.

Glover seemed in high spirits during the interview, which is good because back in October he posted several Instagram photos of illuminating notes about his thoughts.

The notes mention that Glover is afraid of a lot of things, including the future, reaching potential and people thinking he hates other people.
