Dave Matthews has formed a musical rock 'n' roll, jam band supergroup. The group, titled Nauts, contains, Matthews, Jakob Dylan, Bob Dylan guitarist Charlie Sexton, his brother Bill and drummer Brady Blade.
The project started out when Brady Blade wanted to gather a few friends to have a jam session. From that session, the evolution of forming an official group began, The Mix reported. The group has already started work on an album. The band members will be self producing the upcoming record in Blade Studios, which Blade co-owns, in Louisiana.
Rolling Stone added that rumors have been circulating that the band may their live debut at an upcoming Unscene! concert.
Matthews is currently on tour with his band, the Dave Matthews Band and the group is already planning their next studio album with with producer Rob Cavallo. Fans that have attend concerts of Dave Matthews Band have noticed the band is already playing some of their new music.
