Disney has announced their new multi-player PC game Star Wars: Attack Squadron. Beta testing is due to start next year.

Attack Squadrons is a free-to-play online game. Players customize their own ships and engaged in space combat in Star Wars locations. The 49 second trailer doesn’t give away a lot in terms of game play but according to Metro, three player vs. player modes will be available. These include Free-for-All, Team Dogfight, and Base Defense.

According to Cinema Blend, battles will be able to feature up to 16 players. These players will be able to earn points through battle victories that can be used to unlock new items and purchase upgrade. New items and upgrades are promised to be available every month.

The game has nothing to do with EA and is strictly through Disney Interactive. The developer for the game has been announced as Area 52, though you won’t find out much about them from their sparse website.

You can sign up for the beta on the game’s website.
