The wait is over. Eminem and Rihanna have released the highly anticipated music video for their single "The Monster." The teaser trailer for the video came out earlier this week, but now the over five minute long video is live.

When it comes to musical pairs, Rihanna and Eminem cannot be beat. They compliment each other in a way that is rare and the duo have created magic once again with the music video for “The Monster.”

The video opens with Eminem looking back on his career in a dark room and Rihanna wearing a tight black dress. Eminem can be seen watching old footage of his career, including his struggle with drugs and his emotional struggles with his family.

The camera alternates between Eminem being trapped in an elevator and held in a room with a straight jacket. Rihanna and Dr. Dre can be seen observing Eminem. Rihanna is also featured singing the chorus and looking stunningly beautiful.

Eminem stops at different memories throughout his career, including 8 Mile and when he performed with Elton John at the Grammys. Eminem is later released from his prison only to find a different version of himself trapped in a personal jail.

The video is the perfect compliment to the song that showcases the inner thoughts of a person going through a constant struggle. It captures the feeling of the song and the helpless feeling of being trapped inside one's own thoughts.

The video for "The Monster" was worth the wait for fans. It is effortlessly beautiful, haunting and twisted. The video embodies everything that can be felt and heard within the lyrics for "The Monster."
