Fast & Furious 7 was originally scheduled for release on July 11, 2014 but due to the death of film star Paul Walker the film has been pushed back to be released on April 10,2015. Actor Vin Diesel confirmed the news on his Facebook.

Along with the photo, Vin Diesel wrote: “The last scene we filmed together…/There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come… /Fast and Furious 7 will be released…/April 10th 2015! / P.s. He'd want you to know first…”

Production on the film stopped when news of Paul Walker’s death spread. There were reports that Paul’s brother Cody would be asked to shoot the remaining footage in his place and that writer Chris Morgan is working on making revisions to the current script so it’s possible Walker’s character could leave the franchise using they already shot footage.

Fast & Furious 7 isn’t the only big movie being released in 2015. Some of the other Hollywood movie set for release are Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman Vs. Superman, and Star Wars Episode VII notes Comicbook.com.

Vin Diesel also recently announced he will be appearing in the 2014 film Gaurdians of the Galaxy as the voice of Groot and is scheduled for release on August 1st.
