Focus Features's science fiction thriller Selfless has been pushed back into 2015 to Feb. 27, 2015.
The Ryan Reynolds-led film was set to be released Sept. 26, 2014, but it was instead moved back five months to a weekend where nothing else is currently scheduled, Variety reports. The film was co-financed by Endgame Entertainment and FilmDistrict.
Tarsem Singh directed the film, which was written by David Pastor and Alex Pastor. The movie follows a terminally ill billionaire who gets a chance at eternal life if he undergoes an experimental medical procedure which inputs his consciousness into the corpse of a younger man.
The film was originally going to be distributed by FilmDistrict, but that company has since been absorbed into Focus back in October, according to Deadline. Though the release date was changed for Selfless, Focus is keeping That Awkward Moment, which stars Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan for Jan. 31. The movie was originally titled Are We Officially Dating?
