George Jacobs, who was once Frank Sinatra's valet, died on Saturday at the age of 87.
According to his son, Snake Jagger, Jacobs passed away from natural causes while in Palm Springs, reports The Associated Press. He is survived by two daughters and three other sons.
Jacobs spent 15 years as Sinatra's valet before he was fired when gossip columns had written that he was seen dancing with Mia Farrow. Farrow was Sinatra's wife at the time.
According to Sky News, not only was Jacobs Sinatra's valet, but he was also his confidant, something he used to write Mr S: My Life With Frank Sinatra in 2003.
He acknowledged dancing with Farrow and wrote how "It cost me the job I loved, and it cost him a guy who loved him."
Jacobs wasn't a fan of the Farrow marriage, noting in the book "Theirs had to be one of the worst, most ill-conceived celebrity marriages of all time, and after two years of one disaster after another, it was all over for except for the paperwork."
Jacobs has said that he enjoyed working for Sinatra, despite the crooner's well-known poor temper. Before working for the famous singer, Jacobs was employed by Hollywood's Irving "Swifty" Lazar.
