FX’s acclaimed Cold War drama The Americans, will be back in February, the network said Thursday. Like the first season, the second season will also include 13 episodes.
The Americans premiered in January and drew record ratings. The show was quickly renewed for a second season in February. The first episode drew 5.1 million viewers in total, making it the most-watched debut in the network’s history.
Deadline reports that the cable network announced that The Americans will be back on Wednesday, Feb. 26. at 10 p.m.
The series stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as Russian spies living in the U.S. during the Reagan years. It was nominated for two Emmys and named one of the American Film Institute’s top TV shows of the year.
Other members of the cast include Noah Emmerich, Holly Taylor, Keidrich Sellati, Annet Mahendru, Alison Wright and Susan Misner.
