The eight disc box set that Garth Brooks released Blame It All on My Roots has now claimed the number one spot on the Billboard album charts. The box set was released on Thanksgiving Day and contains six audios discs and two DVD's.
One Direction took the second place slot on the album charts with their latest release Midnight Memories. Kelly Clarkson and her holiday album came in third.
The eight-disc boxed set, available only through Walmart, sold 146,000 copies in its second week of release. In it's debut week, the album sold over 164,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, USA Today reported.
This is the ninth No. 1 album for Brooks' and is only the second package with more than two discs to top the chart in a number of years. Led Zeppelin's How the West Was Won topped the charts back in 2003, Billboard added.
Brooks is now looking forward to 2014, when he plans to kick off a world tour.
