J.K. Rowling has announced that the beloved novels and films of Harry Potter will be coming to life on stage.
AP reported that Rowling herself will be producing a play based on Potter's life before heading to Hogwarts.
Rowling went into further detail in a statement she released saying that the play will focus on exploring the untold story of Potter's early years as an outcast and an orphan.
The author will not be writing the script for the upcoming play but she will be working with highly revered producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender.
Rowling also added that she had received many pitches for a stage version of Harry Potter but the vision from Friedman and Callender, made the most scene.
MTV added that the Harry Potter universe is still expanding with plans for an additional film that will be called, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The Harry Potter films and books broke sales and box office records.
