Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience tops the Billboard 200 Year-End Albums Chart, the first male solo act to do so since 50 Cent in 2005.
Billboard reports that after selling 968,000 copies in the first week, Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience remains the largest single sales week of the year for an album, as well as the best-selling title for the year.
Timberlake's album spent 18 non-consecutive weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, and was followed with The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) hitting No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart on Oct. 19.
Rolling Stone reports that Timberlake showed his "crossover appeal" by winning two American Music Awards, one for Favorite Male Artist, Soul/R&B, and another for Favorite Male Artist , Pop/Rock. The 20/20 Experience also won an AMA for Favorite R&B/Soul Album.
Timberlake reached No. 1 before on the Billboard Year-End chart in 2000 with 'N SYNC's No Strings Attached album.
Taylor Swift takes the No. 2 spot with Red, followed by One Direction's Take Me Home, Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox, and Mumford and Sons' Babel.
