Music power couple Katy Perry and John Mayer recently posed for photos together for Vanity Fair. The sexy black and white photoshoot was done to recognize their first collaboration in the studio, “Who You Love.”
The photos, taken by Mario Sorrenti, show Mayer and Perry together, looking like a couple happy and in love. In one photo for the song, Mayer sits with his guitar, while Perry lays on the couch behind him, looking right at the camera.
“If the music is framed correctly and quality, and if it's right and the soul is there, it would be the highest compliment to the record if somebody said or people said, ‘I don't even think about it being a relationship, I just hear it as a great song,’” Mayer told the Associated Press about the song in August.
According to ABC News, he told Billboard that he had the song in his head for awhile and that it is a personal track for him. “It’s also a confessional for myself,” he said. “I started singing [the song], ‘My girl, she ain’t the one I saw coming and sometimes I don’t know which way to go and I tried to run before, but I’m not running anymore.’”
Mayer also celebrated the release of the song as a single on his Tumblr blog, adding, “Yes, we look like this at home pretty much all the time.”
“Who You Love” is featured on Mayer’s latest album, Paradise Valley.
