Kelly Clarkson released a video for her single “Underneath The Tree” off of her Christmas album Wrapped In Red with a behind the scenes look at her upcoming NBC special Kelly’s Cautionary Christmas Tale.

The video starts out as a live performance, as Clarkson takes the very Christmas-decked-out stage, which includes her band, a full string section, horn section, back-up singers, with a Christmas tree in the background and completed with snow gently falling. Clarkson herself is dressed in the holiday spirit with a long red-patterned dress and red sparkled microphone. The scene switches between her performance and a behind-the-scenes look at the special, including shots in the wardrobe and make-up room, to antics such as Clarkson dancing behind an unknowing Trisha Yearwood while she’s trying to record a promo to joking with an Elf-dressed Blake Shelton.

“Underneath The Tree” is one of three original songs off of Clarkson’s first Christmas album Wrapped In Red which was released November 5.

Kelly’s Cautionary Christmas Tale will air on NBC December 11th at 10:00 PM ET. The special will showcase a comedic musical take on a traditional Christmas tale special as well as feature songs from Wrapped In Red. The special was shot at The Venetian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
