The American Idol winner of 2002, Kelly Clarkson, is expecting a baby with her husband Brandon Blackstock. The first time mother-to-be made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Dec. 6th and talked openly about the pangs of pregnancy.
"I vomit a good dozen times a day. It's, like, bad. I vomited before coming out here and I had a peppermint so you didn't [know]," Clarkson jested to Ellen DeGeneres, according to E Online .
Clarkson went on to scoff at the beauty of pregnancy, admitting that her hair and nails are less than star-like quality, lacking the immaculate glow of beauteous pregnant perfection, "I'm not even kidding, it's so bad. It's so bad. I know it's like so gross. And that's the thing, too—you're not attractive when you're pregnant.," quotes E Online.
The baby's gender is still a mystery, but Clarkson and Blackstock have chosen a unisex name in preparation for either surprise, "You won't guess it. It's a random name. But it's not like... Blue Jazz. It's not going to be a weird name," reported RTV6 .
In late November Clarkson appeared on country music star Trisha Yearwoods Trisha's Southern Kitchen. The duo commanded some attention preparing country soul food, and ended the with a smashing duet of "Walkaway Joe."
Clarkson jests that her recent life events have been a whirlwind of learning experiences, marriage, pregnancy, and now at the age of 31 she has taken it upon herself to learn the ways of the kitchen, stating “I just started cooking—don’t judge me!” according to Great Ideas . Clarkson beamed when Yearwood complimented her egg whisking, and will continue on the path to maidenly-motherhood.
