Nintendo released the trailer for Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U complete with new tracks.

According to Metro, one of the new tracks is set in an airport and the other is driving around on top the clouds over the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario Kart was announced back in January and was initially expected to be out by Christmas but was unfortunately pushed back to spring 2014. No release date has been announced but the trailer has excited for the game.

Mario Kart 8 uses elements from 2011′s Mario Kart. The karts are still outfitted with gliders and outboards so they can fly and go underwater but the new big idea is that the vehicles are all anti-gravity as well. This will allow racers to fly up walls and even along the underside of tracks that are suspended in the air.

A new trailer for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U was also announced according to Mashable. The trailer confused viewers by starting with a scene that was like a Mario Kart/Kirby crossover. However the scene actually announced the possibility of Rosalina and Luma from Super Mario Galaxy as characters in Smash. Super Mario Galaxy was released in 2007.

Neither game has a release date yet but both games are expected to increase sales of the Wii U.
