With no winners from Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, the jackpot climbs to $550 million. That would certainly make a nice Christmas present.

Friday night’s drawing did bring out 9 new $1 million dollar winners though according to the Mega Millions website. Last night’s winning numbers were: 19, 24, 26, 27, 70 and Mega Ball 12.

The $550 million prize, for Tuesday’s drawing, will be Mega Millions' second-largest jackpot ever. It’s also the fourth-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.

Friday's Mega Millions jackpot was increased by strong ticket sales. The jackpot was boosted by lottery officials from $400 million to $425 million Friday morning just 12 hours before the 11 p.m. drawing, according to USA Today.

With a large pot and a lot of people running around buying up tickets, chances of selecting a winning six-number ticket are just 1 in 259 million. But of course this never stops those lottery hopefuls who boosted sale by up to 600% in at least one state.

The jackpot has steadily been growing since Oct.1 with a winner having yet to come from the 21 drawings they have completed since then.
