The Mega Millions jackpot will continue to climb after there were no winners in Friday night’s drawing. Last night’s drawing was for a $425 million jackpot, but since no one got all six numbers, it will climb to $550 million for Tuesday’s drawing.

The winning numbers were 19, 24, 26, 27, 70 and Mega Millions ball 12. As previously reported, it was already the second-largest jackpot in the history of the game, behind only the March 2012 jackpot, which reached $656 million before there was a winner. It was also the fifth-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.

According to the Associated Press, the jackpot could even rise past $550 million before the drawing on Tuesday. Paula Otto, the executive director for both Mega Millions and Virginia Lottery said that there is a chance it could beat the March 2012 jackpot.

"We've never had a jackpot at this level in December leading into the holidays," Otto told the AP. "If we keep rolling, we could well be at a billion dollars going into Christmas."

NBC News notes that the jackpot has been growing since Oct. 21 and there have now been 21 drawings without a winner.
