Fans that attended Boston's KISS 109 Jingle Ball had waited for hours to see headliner Miley Cyrus take the stage, but a winter storm left the singer stranded in New York. The radio station continued to air segments claiming that the "We Can't Stop" singer was already at the location for the show on Dec. 14th.

Billboard reported that one clip aired by the radio station said that Cyrus was onstage at soundtrack and that they would bring it to fans live.

The radio station had tweeted the information about Cyrus missing the show but fans in the audience did not realize until after Enrique Iglesias left the stage. That is when an announcement was made that Cyrus would not be performing due to weather, Entertainment Wise reported.

Now fans are looking for refunds. A Change.org petition has been started by Rich Nowak, asking for a refund for the tickets because of Cyrus not taking the stage. The petition has over 8,000 signatures. Nowak said he paid $800 for three tickets.
