Miley Cyrus' controversial video for single "Wrecking Ball" has blasted away other videos to be named Vevo's most-viewed music video for 2013.
According to TIME, "Wrecking Ball" has managed to achieve over 371 million views since it debuted in September. The music video, which features Cyrus riding a wrecking ball naked and licking a sledgehammer, opened with 19.3 million views in just the first day alone.
Cyrus managed to also have the second most-viewed song as well on Vevo's top 10 list. Her video for "We Can't Stop," which was also fairly risque, managed to beat out other artists' videos, The Mirror reports.
Vevo takes statistics from all the different sites the video appears on, including AOL, YouTube, Vevo's own site, Yahoo and others, to come up with the numbers to determine which music videos were the most watched.
Will.i.am's song "Scream & Shout" with Britney Spears came in third, while Rihanna's "Diamonds" and "Roar," by Katy Perry, represented the top five. Songs in the latter half of the list are Pink and Nate Ruess at No. 6 with "Just Give Me A Reason." Robin Thicke's polarizing song and video for "Blurred Lines" was only in seventh place. Rihanna appears on the list again at No. 8 with "Stay," which features Mikky Ekko.
Naughty Boy's song with Sam Smith, "La La La" came in ninth and surprisingly British boy band One Direction was in the No. 10 spot with "Kiss You."
