Missing family of 6 in Nevada mountains was found Tuesday. The Pershing County deputies were searching for James Glanton, 34, his girlfriend Christina McIntee, 25, and the four children: Evan Glanton, 4, Chloe Glanton, 3, Shelby Fitzpatrick, 10 and Tate McIntee, 4, since Sunday.

"We have located the people. They have been taken to the hospital. They are alive and well," said Pershing County Undersheriff Thomas Bjerke, according to USA Today.

According to the AP, the couple and six children disappeared Sunday after Glanton and McIntee took the four children to play in the snow in the Seven Troughs area near Lovelock, Nevada. When the family was not heard from Sunday evening crews were dispatched.

According to Fox News, they were said to have gone to the Seven Troughs area Sunday around noon in their silver Jeep, and rescuers hope that they stayed near or in their vehicle to use as protection from the cold.

Pershing County Dispatch Supervisor Sheila Reitz could release further details but may have more to say "probably in a couple hours."
