Oprah Winfrey has finally picked another book for her Book Club 2.0, but unfortunately the book is not out for another month. The former talkshow host picked Sue Monk Kidd’s latest work, The Invention of Wings.

The book is only Winfrey’s third pick since she launched the online version of her Book Club in June 2012. Her first pick was Cheryl Strayed’s Wild, which was already a best-seller. Exactly a year ago, she picked Ayana Mathis’ first novel, The Twelve Tribes of Hattie.

Since then, the club has been dormant, but Winfrey finally came back today, announcing that Wings is her new favorite book.

"It is going to wow you!" Winfrey said of the book, which isn’t out until Jan. 7, reports USA Today. “It is layered. It is gripping."

Kidd is best known as the author of The Mermaid Chair and The Secret Life of Bees. Her new book centers on two women who are looking to be free and have a voice. One of the women is Hetty "Handful" Grimke, a slave in 19th century Charleston.

“I'm thrilled and honored that Oprah Winfrey chose my novel as her new book club selection,” Kidd said in a statement. "I'm immensely grateful.”

An interview with Kidd will appear in the new issue of O The Oprah Magazine, out on Dec. 17.
