On Tuesday during a memorial service for Nelson Mandela, President Obama posed with Denmark Prime Minister Hellen Thorning-Schmidt and British Prime Minister David Cameron for a selfie. Lest you think he was the only one, President George W. Bush also did the same.

According to CNN the selfie moment during such a solemn event was caught on camera by a photographer. Michelle Obama can be sitting a little ways away with a serious expression and not being involved in the group photo.

Despite the event, the three picture takers look relatively in bright spirits, managing to pose with a smile, New York Daily News reports.

Obama was not the only one to take a selfie during the event though. President Bush also took one with U2 singer Bono and then posted it to his Instagram account.

Thorning-Schmidt was seen looking quite upbeat throughout the memorial service as she spent time typing away on a mobile device.

Also joining the U.S. delegation for the Mandela memorial were President Bill Clinton, Hillary, Chelsea and President Jimmy Carter and wife, Rosalynn. The Clintons, all well-known social media users avoided using Twitter during the event.
