REO Speedwagon among many acts who cancelled SeaWorld shows due to the Blackfish controversy.

CNN reports that REO Speedwagon is the latest act to cancel their appearance at SeaWorld due to the controversial documentary Blackfish.

"Due to concerns regarding our February 16 appearance at SeaWorld, we have chosen to cancel the performance," the band posted on their Facebook page.

Blackfish is a documentary that tells the story of a SeaWorld trainer who was killed by an orca, raising awareness about keeping killer whales in captivity.

SeaWorld told TIME that Blackfish is "inaccurate and misleading and, regrettably, exploits a tragedy that remains a source of deep pain for Dawn Brancheau’s family, friends and colleagues."

Other cancellations include Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson, Cheap Trick, Heart, and Barenaked Ladies.

"I don't agree with the way they treat their animals," Willie Nelson said. "It wasn't that hard a deal for me."

SeaWorld spokesman, Nick Gollattscheck, told CNN that they expect other artists to be targeted soon, and are looking to book replacements.

"We're disappointed a small group of misinformed individuals was able to deny fans what would have been great concerts at SeaWorld," Gollattscheck said.
