The Film Society Of Lincoln Center made an announcement earlier today saying that current executive director, Rose Kuo would be stepping down from her role and would be replaced with Lesli Klainberg, who is the managing director.
The Film Society Of Lincoln Center is known for producing the New York Film Festival and other feature film festivals that happen year round. Kalinberg has been the manager and director of the last three New York Film Festivals.
Kuo will be staying on as an interim director until the job roles can change and will be a consult in 2014 to ensure a smooth and seamless transition, Deadline
reported.
Kuo released a statement following the announcement, The Hollywood Reporter added.
"It has been an honor and a privilege to steward the Film Society through an amazing period of transformation and growth into new frontiers. After the successful opening of the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, the milestone celebrations of the 50th New York Film Festival and Film Comment magazine, the 40th Chaplin Award Tribute and New Directors/New Films, and this year's installation of a new creative team, the organization is now in a perfect place for me to make my own transition," said Kuo.
