Sara Bareilles is revealing how she reacted to receiving a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year for her album The Blessed Unrest.

Bareilles, who has been nominated three times in her career before this called it “surreal.”
"It's a pretty cool thing to be getting used to," she said, MTV News reports. "It's very surreal. Such an incredible honor, I'm so grateful."

The singer was previously nominated for her chart-topping singles "Love Song" and "King of Anything.”

She explained getting the phone call from her manager last Friday, letting her know she was nominated again. "I was at a NASCAR event actually getting ready to go downstairs to the ballroom to perform. It’s no secret that this was a big surprise to me,” she said. “My manager called and then I proceeded to run around my hotel room screaming my face off and probably making my neighbors want to call security, because they were probably like, 'What is happening to that poor woman?'

Bareilles is up against Daft Punk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and pal Taylor Swift for Album of the Year.
