Fans of the show The Vampire Diaries were all saddened when the two co-stars, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, broke off their relationship. Many of them are still hoping the two get back together. Dec. 8, onTwitter, Dobrev made contact with her ex wishing him a happy birthday.

Her kind words had fans jumping to conclusions and gushing over the tweet. Fans immediately began responding to Dobrev’s words with their hopes of it being a sign of them possible rekindling the flame. One person was obviously convinced it meant the two had worked things out when they tweeted, “GOD IS REAL!” in response to Dobrev’s.

Whether the two are getting back together or not is unclear, but one thing is certain and that is they are at least remaining friends.
