Veronica’s Room, a play which debuted on Broadway 40 years ago, will now become a motion picture with TWC-Dimension at the helm.

Deadline reported that the movie will be an adaptation of Veronica’s Room which was written by Rosemary’s Baby author, Ira Levin. Levin passed away in 2007. Harvey and Bob Weinstein’s company, TWC-Dimension, will finance, produce and distribute this upcoming adaptation.

Bob Weinstein made a statement regarding the upcoming project. “From Rosemary’s Baby to Deathtrap, Harvey and I have been admirers of Ira Levin, as he has created some of the greatest thrillers in film history, the project is a hidden gem that will be able to reintroduce Levin’s work to a new generation," said Weinstein.

The story centers on two students who find themselves invited to an older New England estate for an audience with the last surviving member of the family that once lived there.

Daniel Dubiecki and Lara Alameddine are producing under the banner of Allegiance Theater, The Hollywood Reporter added.
