Two men were arrested on Sunday evening for their suspected involvement in the 24-hour robbery spree in downtown Boston that happened this weekend.
Twenty-seven year-old Richard Puopolo turned himself over to authorities on Sunday evening. His accomplice Carlos Venable, 43, was arrested two hours later somewhere in Chinatown, notes Boston.com.
Both men were charged with unarmed robbery and armed robbery. Puopolo also faces drug possession charges.
Puopolo and Venable are suspected of robbing five stores. They also attempted a sixth robbery but did not manage to get any cash. Four of the stores were convenience stores and the fifth was a Starbucks coffee shop.
The two suspects made off with either cash or merchandise at each location. They will both appear in Boston Municipal Court on Monday for arraignment. The crime spree began Saturday around 4 p.m. with the last robbery concluding the spree at 3 p.m. Sunday, says the Associated Press.
It is not yet known if the two men have lawyers.
