UPS announced that the delivery company has managed to get all the delayed holiday packages out to customers.

According to USA Today, UPS spokeswoman Natalie Godwin commented, "We are getting back to normal."

She also said that those who had ordered air and international deliveries would be receiving a refund on their shipping due to the delay. Those who used ground shipping are out of luck, as that method does not come with guaranteed delivery during the holiday season.

UPS said the demand for shipping was beyond their capabilities and the company even had hired 55,000 seasonal employees to be prepared for the demand, which they had expected to be 8 percent higher than normal, but it still wasn't enough.

Though packages are finally being delivered and reportedly done, customers haven't been happy that they were forced to wait. Many took to social media to vent their frustration, especially some that felt that the tracking system was faulty as it often told customers that packages were "out for delivery," when they were, in fact, not.

As previously reported, UPS, along with Fedex, were both chastised after many were left to celebrate Christmas without the presents they had ordered as the companies were unable to handle the increased demand.

Another UPS spokeswoman on Thursday came forward and said, "We're working around the clock to resolve this issue. We're terribly sorry.
