Actor Vin Diesel told fans that Fast & Furious 7 will now be released in April 2015, nearly a year later than its original release date. He also shared a new photo with Paul Walker, who died on Nov. 30 in a car crash.

Diesel, who is an active Facebook user, shared a still from the last scene the two shot together. He is wearing a white, bloodied shirt, while Walker is wearing a weapons vest. The two are standing in front of blue screen and both look like they have just been in a fight.

“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come,” Diesel wrote.

He said that the film will now be released by Universal on April 10, 2015. The film was originally slated for July 11, 2014, to quickly follow on the success of this year’s Fast & Furious 6. Following Walker’s death, the studio decided to delay shooting indefinitely. “At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,” the studio said.

Clearly, it has decided to move forward with the franchise. It’s been rumored that Universal asked Walker’s brother to fill in on some scenes.

After Fast 7 was delayed, Fox rescheduled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes for July 11.

As for Fast 7, it will now be released at the beginning of a blockbuster season that already includes Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man and Terminator 5.
