War Poets is a band from Minneapolis, who channels their life emotions and everyday events into their music. Members of War Poets include, Jenny Case, Rex Haberman, Matt Kirkwold, Danny Neale, and Lisi Wright.
The boys started their musical evolution back in 2001, through a process of finding their sound and writing sounds, War Poets took shape.
The band has just released Dulce Et Decorum Est and the album is split into two different sections, which has not been seen for a while in the music industry. The first section of the album is rock and the second section is seven ballads. The 17 track album is divided into those two categories.
For fans to hear two different musical sections on the album is impressive for fans. This shows a wide range of musicality and vocal ability from the members of the band. Instead of focusing on one musical genre, the band taps into many influences and shows their wide range as performers on the album.
Stand out tracks on the album include, "Will You Be There," "Another Lie," and "Caught Me in Paris."
This unique way of producing an album shows that War Poets are not afraid of experimentation and fans have embraced this. War Poets will be a band to watch out for in 2014.
