The creative team from Gravity is having a spectacular year. It looks like they could receive an award for outstanding live-action 3D feature film at the International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society’s annual Creative Arts Awards.

Gravity will contend with award hopefuls The Great Gatsby, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, Oz the Great and Powerful, and Star Trek Into Darkness. Winners in 20 categories, including animated feature, will be announced during the ceremony. The Society’s Century Award will be presented to 3ality Technica and its founder and CEO, Steve Schklair. Their camera systems were used in many of the films nominated for top honors this year, including The Great Gatsby.

Awards chair Buzz Hays of the True Image Company told The Hollywood Reporter, “The Century Award is presented to those individuals and companies who have indelibly left their mark on 3D’s first century.”

Pixar will also be recognized at the ceremony. According to Variety, Pixar will be recognized for their feats in storytelling and technical achievement.

The International 3D and Advanced Imaging Society’s annual Creative Arts Awards will take place on Jan. 28 at Warner Bros. Studios.
