ABC announced that the reality competition series, Wipeout, is renewed for its seventh season.
In Wipeout, contestants make their way through an obstacle course to win a cash prize. Competition for the Ultimate Wipeout Champion is expected to be heated as the winners will return for a Tournament of Champions.
Matt Kunitz, creator and executive producer told The Hollywood Reporter, "We are always looking for ways to keep the show fresh and exciting. This year, we are amping up the competition with a season-long tournament of champions, with the winner from each episode returning to compete against the other winners in an epic battle for the title of Wipeout Champion."
The first season of the show was in 2008. In the past, twelve family teams battled it out for a $50,000 prize. The seventh season of Wipeout will be hosted by John Anderson and John Henson. It is co-hosted by Jill Wagner from the MTV show, Teen Wolf. Wipeout is produced by Endemol USA, according to Variety.
