This week marked the thirtieth anniversary of the Macintosh computer and it has been filled with tributes to the computer.
According to the Business Standard, that the members of the original Mac team that worked alongside Steve Jobs got star treatment on Saturday. This team was the first to attempt to build a computer for the home, while IBM machines were all over workplaces.
This computer and its mouse really opened computers up to anyone. Before the Mac people had to be computing geeks to run a machine, but now almost anyone can use a computer, tablet or smartphone without having to worry about complicated codes, etc.
The “birthday” party was held in a performing arts centre in Cupertino, California, the same location that Apple co-founder Steve Jobs introduced the Mac to the world in 1984.
Many people don’t know that Jobs also held a second presentation. Many people have not seen that speech or even knew it existed for 30 years, but it has now been archived at the Computer History Museum, according to Engadget.
Many people gathered to celebrate the Mac and its success in bringing computers to the everyday man and will continue to do so for years to come.
