Students at Arizona State University celebrated their release from class this past Monday, in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. But, some may have taken it too far.

A group of fraternity men from Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) at ASU decided to put together a 'party' in light of this established holiday. It did not take long for social media to grab a hold of some rather offensive photos from the fraternity's gathering.

As a result, the fraternity's status at Arizona State is in serious jeopardy. According to The Arizona Republic, local civil rights leaders made a public threat Tuesday afternoon in front of the journalism school on the downtown, Phoenix campus. Unless the university agrees to expel any students involved in organizing this party, the fund-raising campaign to rebuild Sun Devil Stadium will cease.

It is not unknown throughout the ASU community that its fraternities have undergone a great deal of scrutiny because of their actions. Additionally, this is not the first time Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) has been in violation of campus and fraternity regulations. Fox News was able to hear what other students had to say about the matter: "I think this represents the ignorance that still exists today." says an ASU senior. Pressure will be placed upon the university to make a decision within the next few days.
