Queen Bey discusses how she feels more free to express herself now than she did a number of years ago in a documentary that follows the creation of her latest album, Beyonce.

According to Metro, Bey explains it in this way: “Now I’m in my 30s, and those children that grew up listening to me have grown up, I always felt like it was my responsibility to be aware of kids and their parents. I’ve done so many things in my life and my career that at this point I feel I’ve earned the right to be me and express any and every side of myself.”

The “Drunk in Love” singer also discussed how this album has also allowed her to open up and give her music a more personal feel. the Jasmine Brand, reported her as saying:” I feel like I am having to tap into a lot of my life experiences to pull inspiration. I feel like I am opening up a lot in these videos and showing a lot of sides to me that only a few people have ever seen.”
